Plea to the Ever Living God for the Preborn

Lord God, our Eternal Father, we come to Your Throne, full of awe and reverence at your saving power. Through our Savior and Brother Jesus Christ, we beg You to help us stop the widespread slaughter of preborn life in our land. May our love for our innocent brothers and sisters closely resemble the love that exists in the Holy Family and help us to provide all human life with protection under our civil laws. We fervently pray that all surgical and chemical abortions and contraception will immediately cease in our beloved country, the United States of America. We know that through the intercession of Mary our Mother, Chosen Spouse of the Holy Spirit, and Saint Joseph, chosen spouse of Mary, our request will be granted.
Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Imprimatur: The Most Rev. Paul J. Swain, D.D., Bishop of Sioux Falls

Prayer For Life

Lord our God, the Creator of life, how wonderful is Your Name throughout all the earth! O Jesus, our Redeemer and Friend, at the heart of Your saving message is the Gospel of Life—the "Good News" for people of every age and culture. Help us, Your servants, to promote and defend the life of preborn babies, the elderly, the sick, the orphaned, the poor, the physically and the mentally challenged, the imprisoned and those threatened by war, violence, indifference and false compassion. Inspire us to proclaim Your Gospel of Life with honesty and charity, never shirking our grave responsibility to be the light in our society. O Mary, Mother of the living and the bright Dawn of creation, who, with Saint Joseph, gratefully accepted the Child born for us, pray that we will courageously build the Civilization of Truth and Love to the glory of the Most Blessed Trinity. Amen.

Imprimatur: The Most Rev. Paul J. Swain, D.D., Bishop of Sioux Falls
